D-Jays in Los Angeles, California. DJ Snow Dogg was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and began DJ-ing in the late 80's with 2 turntables and a mixer and began a DJ group known to many as K-9 Productions and later went on to rapping with his crew as he adventured his musical talents in New York in 1984 where he performed as MC Snow Dog. Snow Dogg continued his hobby in music throughout the years until now in the present. Snow Dogg has many known affiliations with rappers and performers such as: Joe Cooley (Ice Productions), DJ Pooh, Dr. Dre, Tone Loc, Uncle Jamms Army, L.A. Dream Team, Egyptian Lover, Young MC, Wreckin' Crew, Skee Love, Kid Frost, Ice Cube, Eazy E, N 2 Deep, Yella, & a majority of the West Coast DJ's / Rappers.

DJ Snow Dogg started out as a Producer & DJ in Los Angeles with K-9 Productions DJing dances as large as the Marshall's Ballroom with 5,000 people. He began recording around Los Angeles in 1982 as a member of the Scorpio Sting rap group, and also Solo. In the early days of hip hop albums were rare, so most of Snow Dogg's successful recordings were 12" singles. He would eventually release some of the earliest rap LPs; which was especially unique for being west-coast based, but they were less popular than his singles. But on the strength of containing an alternate mix of his most popular singles Lack of Knowledge, I'm a Survivor; 1985's success. DJ Snow Dogg is said to return BIG in 2013-2014 after many years of underground recordings and new era of music such as Techno, New Age, & DUB Step music.
